The NIGC has issued interpretive rule, Environmental, Public Health and Safety Interpretive Rule, 67 Fed. Reg. 46109 (2002), to help ensure that gaming facilities are constructed, maintained and operated in a manner that adequately protects the environment, public health and safety. The EPHS Inspection Program is a program that is managed at NIGC Headquarters. Questions regarding the EPHS Inspection Program or requests for technical assistance should be directed to the appropriate NIGC Regional Office or the EPHS Program Manager in Washington D.C.
