One of the responsibilities of the full Commission is to act as an appellate body that reviews decisions of the Chair. These appeals include the disapproval of a tribal gaming ordinance; disapproval of a gaming management contract; decisions to void or modify a gaming management contract; proposals to remove a certificate of self-regulation; notices of late fees; late fee assessments; the issuance of a notice of violation; the issuance of a proposed civil fine assessment; and the issuance of an order of temporary closure. Once the Commission has issued a decision, it is considered a final agency action. Once an action is final there are no more administrative appeals and the only avenue of redress would be an action filed in a Federal District Court.
