Course Description
With the current opioid crisis effecting our society, the tribal gaming industry is not immune. Hear from subject matter experts from the Indian Health Services (IHS) about what fentanyl is and how it effects a person and in case of a potential overdose, recommended training and resources. Learn about what administering Naloxone (Narcan) can do and can’t do to a person. In addition, hear from a respected TGRA on advances they have made in training staff to respond to a potential overdose, implemented policies and procedures along with current equipment and resources that a tribe implemented by using a Narcan vending machine outside of the casino for access to the general public.
