National Indian Gaming Commission to relocate
Washington, DC Headquarters on June 16, 2014
Washington, DC, May 22, 2014 - The National Indian Gaming Commission will move its Washington, DC headquarters on June 16, 2014 to 90 K Street, N.E., Suite 200, Washington, D.C. 20002. The new location is a state of the art, secure facility, located near the US Capitol and Union Station. The current office, located at 1441 L Street, N.W., Suite 9100, will close on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the conclusion of business. All existing NIGC phone numbers will not be affected.
The relocation of the Commission’s Washington, DC headquarters has been a part of the Agency’s long-term strategic plan. The new facility will allow the NIGC to provide better services to the tribes and others within the industry by adopting new technology and utilizing space more efficiently.
“As tribal gaming evolves, this new facility will help the NIGC more efficiently carry out its mission of regulatory oversight and ensure that it can meet the demands of an ever-changing, technology-driven industry.” commented Acting Chair Jonodev Chaudhuri.
To help minimize disruptions in Agency services during the move, the Commission requests that all submissions and requests to headquarters be made no later than Wednesday June 11, 2014 at the current location. All submissions and requests can be submitted and received by the agency at the new location beginning June 16, 2014.
